Review: Le Colonial

On a chilly rainy day when I feel like pho and I don’t want to make the trek up to Little Vietnam, I stop by my friendly neighborhood French/Vietnamese restaurant for their pho, a lunch time special. The secret is, although Le Colonial is a slightly pricier restaurant that attracts a more older crowd than I am used to, their lunch time special pho is the best bang for your buck. At under $7, this little dish packs a lot of good quality meat (I’m talking steak-quality), al dente noodles, and a fresh flavorful spoonful of broth. Paired with some spring rolls, this lunch menu beats anything offered in the city. Oh and not to mention, it comes in the perfect not-too-full-but-satisfied portion where you can walk out feeling great and not stuffed.
